It’s about food. September 6, 2025.
This is the second of the two posts about our wanderings today. This afternoon we joined thousands of Norwegians and foreign tourists for a remarkable culinary exposition.

The following from the festival promotion:
“Join us in the heart of Fjord Norway for a culinary journey… Wander through Bergen‘s vibrant city center, and discover an array of local food artisans showcasing their culinary creations…”

…And so we did. Peace everyone. Pete.

Beautiful pictures of people having a good time. Looks like you picked a great time to visit. What’s the temperature? I see jackets, sweaters and t-shirts and shorts. It appears so peaceful and open. Other than a couple of women with hijabs it looks very Caucasian. Is the country multi-cultural?
Pete Schloss says:
Bergen is the rainiest place in Norway and this is the rainy season. We have been fortunate to have a couple of dry days. The temperatures are in the upper 60s and very pleasant. Yes, multicultural. Approximately 6% of the population is Muslim, 60% of the population is Christian Church of Norway and the rest are other Christian denominations.

All I need to say is WOW!

That’s what I said!

Oh – and Long Live the Queen!!
Pete Schloss says:
Yes, whale meat. I’m a very adventurous eater. However in my later years I’ve grown aware that there are creatures who are self aware. The thought of eating them yanks on my conscience. I’ll pass on eating whale.
